This project is a special one as it was an experiment for me in
the gift economy, a philosophy my brother is deeply committed to.
The principles are simple and powerful (visit www.smoothfeather.com
and www.charityfocus.com to learn more) and one of them that I was
attracted to is that passion is the main form of currency. The volunteers that came together to create this film were all
impassioned by the project. And I mean everyone on board.
All cast and crew were apart of this process because they had
the passion to do so. I learned that that is the only way I
want to continue to create my movies.
I feel currently there is a lot that works in my entertainment
business in Hollywood. It has taken yeas to perfect the structure,
which is efficient and effective in getting films made. However,
I am excited to push the envelope and as I continue to work,
and only work on projects and pieces that inspire me and give
back to my world. I am committed to only having people on my
sets and on my teams who are inspired and moved to create these
movies as well. That is the only way I want to work. For me it is
the only way I know that truly does work.
